After a couple of centuries worth of adventures, he managed to encounter Benedict in his shadow version of Avalon, where he also met Benedict's then pre-teen daughter Druscilla. Benedict then brought him to Amber in the middle of the Patternfall War and has he has explored his true heritage ever since, investigating the strange power of Trump as well as his Pattern Imprint.
