A Brief HistoryOf dual Heritage, and mixed Blood. Born of the passion of his Amberite Prince Finndo father and his Dragon Princess mother, Tannim had not had what one would call a typical, inclusive upbringing His father was often absent and after the age of thirteen, never saw him after that--which was still more than anyone else had seen him in centuries. Also, at the age of thirteen, Tannim began manifesting his rather unusual heritage...The heritage of the Dragon. His mother, realizing that she could not raise him alone any more, fostered him to a minor vassal House in the Courts named Drachen. And thus Tannim came to his full maturity there. His ability to change into a draconian humanoid and a full dragon, were unusual in the Courts only because of his limitation on forms. Yet, Tannim learned and mastered the arts of weaponcraft and fighting. Sorcery was not his style, and he dared not walk the Logrus with such a limited shapeshifting ability. At age fifteen he was to have an encounter that would mark his life since in a way. After working out with his friends among the Drachen, he met the then seven year old Anya, and Master Suhuy. She knew him, and predicted, among other things, that they would meet again. Tannim never forgot it... At age eighteen, his mother walked with him through shadow to Tir Na Nogth. Finndo had asked her, at that age, to allow him to walk the Pattern. He also, however did not want Tannim to meet his relatives in Amber. He swore not to do so in her lifetime, and walked the Tir Pattern, having horrifying and unusual visions in doing so. Tannim spent the next few years exploring shadow. Finally, he came back to the Courts, and learned of his mother's passing. He resolved to then seek Amber, but knew he would always have a home among the Chaosians. And thus he sought the homeland of his father. Tannim was greatly surprised that Amber was in control of Clarissa Jesby and the High Priest of the Unicorn, Belisarius. Still, after walking Amber's Pattern for them, they accepted him as the sole representative of the House of Finndo. Tannim was greatly surprised to learn that Anya, like himself, had dual heritage and was of the descent of Corwin. He followed the stories of her and her adventures until he finally sent her a message of well wishes via Corwin's son Edmund. Finally, Tannim returned to his home in the Courts, and learned that Anya was now the Logrus Master to the King, as befit someone of her power and ability...and so decided to make good on his long ago promise and sought her out once more. |
