In Thy Kingdom Come, Trump Artists are both rare and unusual. They have a power and talent most uncommon.
Laertes is one of them.

The Coral gardens, The Royal Palace, Rebma.
Unlike the gardens of its mirror in the world above, the gardens surrounding and alongside the royal Palace in Rebma mainly are of naturally growing coral, rather than manicured hedges and plants and trellises and the like. It is here that the artist has chosen to present himself, in the center of biological beauty and biodiversity, rather than in the marbled halls of the large palace in the background, serene in the green of the sea. He is sitting on a specimen of coral, a large brain coral of a salmon color, striking against the greenish water, and against the person using it as a temporary rest. He's average sized for a Rebman, around 2 meters tall, and perhaps his build belies 75 kilograms of weight. His hair is a long dark shade of blue...almost a full black in color. His eyes...are the green of the marble of the halls of the Palace which frames him and the scene perfectly. His skin is the green of the sea, and his trunks are almost a concession to the viewer. Bulky clothes would seemingly unsuit him as they would a dolphin. Yet he has a small smile, as if amused at you staring at his picture for so long, without making the contact to talk to him. His hand trails upward, reaching toward a slowly swimming Nautilus to his right and above him. His other hand rests on the brain coral, patting it softly, as if giving you space and room to sit. What might he say to you? What other wonders he might show you, in the world below the sea? |
Due to events that occurred during a live session of Thy Kingdom Come at Ambercon X, Laertes'
has had a bit of a cosmetic alteration. His normally blue-black hair has
been changed to a pure white color. In matter of fact, now, he has more than
a passing resemblance to the former and legendary progenitor of Rebma, Lir...
The Graphic to the right shows what the back of Laertes' Trumps look like. That shell in the center is of an invertebrate called an Ammonite. While they became extinct on Earth about the same time that the dinosaurs did, they still flourish in Rebma.
