Ways Layout:
-
The Ways of Wererathe itself are arranged in a node and
strand sort of arrangement. Detractors from other
Houses have called it a “spider's web
layout”, not least because many of the female
members of Wererathe also do favor arachnid forms in
their shapeshifting. The overall feel of Wererathe,
then, is of warrens, tunnels connected to each other in
small communal multilevel rooms with multiple entrances
and exits. The “open air” rooms in
Wererathe take the form of bowl shaped craters, the
basic format of multilevel room that make up the nodes,
but with an opening to the “outside” at its
top. While most shapeshifting Wererathe can simply
climb out of the top without difficulty, those without
sufficient shapeshifting rely on the few
stairs and ladders that allow access to the
“outside” environments offered by such
egresses. These outside environments are distinctly
diverse, ranging from seaside beaches to rocky mountain
valleys.
-
House Wererathe's arachnid flavor extends to their specialty as
premier builders and constructors in Chaos. Members of Wererathe are
well known for being able to forge Ways out of the fabric of the
shadow itself. Wererathe Shadows in the Black Zone tend to be heavily
fortified, and Wererathe does business selling their talents to other
Houses.
Much to the surprise of both sides when the Chaosians invaded the
Golden Circle, the nature of Ghenesh's fauna and the shadow itself
suggest some sort of ancient relationship to House Wererathe which has
not been completely uncovered.
