Born into House Wererathe, Ingrey was raised and taught the usual things that any gentleman in House Wererathe, or in Chaos, should know. Riding, dancing, poisons, etiquette, weapons, sorcery, and so forth.
Ingrey always has been been a rough and tumble sort. Even educated in Chaosian graces, and perfectly capable of acting respectfully when the situation demands, Ingrey often found that direct and aggressive solutions to problems suited him a little better than endless circumlocutions of speech and action.
Thirty three years ago, on the ascension of his fiftieth birthday, his mother counselled him to petition to be stationed in Amber, so that he might raise his status and renown enough that he would eventually be allowed to make a good match and continue on the bloodline. Ingrey was somewhat disappointed and distraught, at least in private, at the prospect of what he thought of as an exile to a distant and unpleasant land.
However, he studied and delved into Amber history and customs dutifully for several months. Finally, he petitioned Lady Paloma Baccaran, while she was on one of her visits back to the Courts, to be attached to her as a aide in her diplomatic corps. She accepted, and Ingrey travelled to Amber and began his long journey working for Chaosian diplomatic interests in Amber and its neighbouring shadows. His methods are sometimes deplored publicly by Lady Paloma, and he hasn't gotten quite the rank that others in his position might have achieved, but his results have been usually fruitful.
He has slowly made connections on the Amber side of things diplomatic as well, including Larissa Rohl. As it is the custom of his House for men to use their mother's name as a surname, and women to use their father's name, he often calls her Larissa Ericsdottir, much to her consternation.
Trump Description
The dark haired man sits in front of a chessboard. Mostly looking down at the board, the viewer can still, below the dark curls of his head, see the piercing blue eyes flickering upward to the viewer as most of his concentration is upon the board before him, and, before the viewer.
On the board a black bishop, on Ingrey's side of the board, challenges a white knight that seems to be in possession of the viewer. And it is equally clear that its now the trump viewer's move in this chess game.
