Raised in Amber, Lorine has weathered the unease of having Oberon around, the political unrest that followed his vanishing, and Eric's ascent to the throne. All of it with the same aplomb characteristic of her father.

Outgoing and bold, Lorine is usually easy going with a good sense of humor. Very much her father's daughter, she loves to sail and has served in Amber's fleet for the past several decades under her father's and Sigurd's command. She chose to sail with Caine during Corwin's ill-fated attack on Amber. During the war with Chaos, Lorine remained behind with her father, giving her an interesting view of the world and a ring-side seat as everyone began returning home. During the Interm when most of the family was gone, she worked with her father to govern Amber and helped Gerard and Mark negotiate many of the new, allbeit possibly temporary, treaties with Rebma and other nearby realms.

If she's in Amber, but not at the castle, she can usually be found in Mark's company, the two are close enough to be siblings instead of cousins and generally, what is known to one, is known to both.

One of the last cards to 'appear' in the family deck. It is unlike the early ones of her father and his siblings; it is rough, almost abstract and spare compared to the detail in most.

The view looks up to Lorine, as if the painter had stood at the low end of the dune, or laid at her feet. The surf is rough behind her, the sky filling with steel gray clouds, but she stands calmly, facing the storm and dressed to tackle the waves.
